First Robotics Competition
I was first introduced to the concept of STEAM through the First Robotics Competition, a program that challenges high school student to create a robot in six weeks. Over the years, FRC has helped me in not only improving my problem solving and analytical thinking skills but my ability to work in teams and communicate my ideas. I have been a part of FIRST for the past four years: as a team member in FRC for the past 3 years and a mentor for FLL in eighth grade. So far my FRC teams have been:
#6431 Nokta ParantezNokta Parantez was the first FRC team that I was a part of. It was established during my freshmen year and we competed in the 2016 Turkish Off Season and 2017 First Steamworks in the New York Regional, from which we went to Houston for the championships.

Hisar Coding Summit
Coding Summit is a student organised event that presents the opportunity of learning more about technology and programming to those who are willing to, for free. It is an event hosted by HisarCS annually in order to encourage people in Turkey to grow interested in technology and develop new skills in robotics, electronics and programming. I participated in this event from eighth grade through tenth. So far I have delivered four different courses over three years:

Turkish Airlines Travel Hackathon
During the December of my junior year, me and three of my friends from my previous school in İstanbul, Turkey applied for the Turkish Airlines Travel Hackathon. We chose to participate in the Airport subsection under the team name HisarCS and proposed a kiosk design that travelers could use before international flights to convert their extra change into miles with their Miles & Smiles accounts. We were able to participate in the event as one of the 43 teams out of the 400 teams that had applied from all over Turkey. After a rigorous 48 hours, we were able to create a working prototype of our product and won two jury awards.
Technovation
So far, I have been a part of four Technovation teams. The 2019 season is still ongoing, but my submissions so far have been:

Introducing Girls to App Development in Turkey
Cesaret FoundationIn addition to Hisar Coding Summit, I personally worked with the Cesaret Foundation to introduce young girls to programming. I traveled to Heybeliada this January to talk with the girls on the island about how they use programming and mobile applications in their daily lives and held a workshop on paper prototyping.

Teknovasyon Hackathon 2018Collaborating with another Senior Division Technovation Team in İstanbul, we organised a Technovation Hackathon for 32 girls in our community. We used the facilities of Google's Dome İstanbul to introduce the girls to programming through MIT app inventor and then split them into teams to compete in a mini Technovation-challenge.
